B92 is back on the air

At Dec. 5, 1:00 PM Washington time Voice of America received a report that B-92 is back on the air, although not is known for how long.

This morning Dec. 6 people from Belgrade, interviewed on Dutch radio, confirmed that B92 was back on the air.

BBC World also confirmed that B92 and an other station are allowed back on the air.

The transmitter of B92 is owned by the state radio RTS. The authorities have now come up with explanations like "a cable to the antenna became defective because water got in".
